Upcoming School Climate Forum Friday 2/29

You are invited to attend, Every Student Connected: It’s Possible, on Friday, February 29, 2008 from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center.  Sondra Samuels is president of the PEACE Foundation and member of the Hope Collaborative. She will share stories of schools that have successfully connected with all students. The power of connectedness to reduce violence will also be addressed. The annual School Climate Forum is held in the spring of each year and is co-sponsored by the Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health Department, the Initiative for Violence-Free Families, and the Hennepin County Attorney's Office. Forums feature examples of programs and practices that schools have found successful in addressing school climate and school connectedness.
