Hosted by the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association (LHENA) NRP in conjunction with the City of Minneapolis.

Three trucks will pick up unwanted burnable items, electronics/appliances, and tires from streets and alleys throughout Lowry Hill East. Please place materials where you normally set your garbage by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

We are still looking for volunteers to accompany and load items onto the trucks in one-hour shifts! Scouts and other organized youth groups are encouraged to participate. If interested, please contact the LHENA office at 612-377-5023 or lhena@thewedge.org by Wednesday, Sept. 16th.

Items which WILL be collected include:

1. Garbage Packer Truck (Burnable Items)
   • Arm Chair
   • Ashes-cold (double bag)
   • Bottles, medicine
   • Cartons (milk, 12/24 pack drink)
   • Clothing (unusable rags)
   • Couch (under 50% metal – no hide-a-bed)
   • Carpet
   • Dresser
   • End table
   • Food scraps
   • Furniture parts
   • Glass, broken (double bag, paper, then plastic)
   • Household garbage (bagged, boxed or wrapped)
   • Litter
   • Mattress
   • Pet droppings (double bagged)
   • Polystyrene foam
   • Saw dust (double bagged)
   • Storm doors-wood
   • Tubs (butter, margarine, yogurt)
   • Venetian blinds
   • Wood storm windows
   • Wood chairs
2. Specialty Metal Truck (Electronics/Appliances)
   • Air conditioners
   • Appliances
   • Bed springs
   • Bicycles
   • Clothes line poles (no concrete)
   • Computers & Monitors
   • Couch with hide-a-bed
   • File cabinets
   • Items over 50% metal
   • Lawn mowers
   • Metal pieces (no concrete)
