Often times Neighborhood Associations like yours are able to identify community needs and connect residents with resources in ways that other organizations simply can't. Given this, we wanted to share the enclosed energy assistance information with you, in an effort to reach out to families in your neighborhood that may not otherwise be aware of the energy assistance and bill-paying resources currently available to them.

Recently, the Minnesota Department of Commerce announced that an additional $7 million in Home Energy Assistance Funds has been made available to income eligible residents throughout Minnesota. As helpful as these funds are, they are limited so will likely be depleted quite quickly. In addition, they are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, so it's extremely important to apply for them as quickly as possible.
